H2i R&D project ‘Artificial Intelligence Based Sea Surface Current Quantification and Dissemination System for Coastal Operation in Real-Time’ will receive support from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)’s Maritime Innovation and Technology (MINT) Fund. Using A.I. and machine learning techniques, sea surface currents will be derived based on existing resources i.e. Automatic Identification System (AIS) messages to provide a cost-effective source of accurate spatio-temporal sea surface current information.
